It's not the best of quality, but it's something until someone kisses their scanner to this once it's released :P If you are wondering why this is tagged as photoshop, that's because I had to do some magic on this pic. I can't explain, but maybe if you hang around Amazon a lot you'll know what I mean :D

Infinite Stratos case files

No, this isn't something Phoenix Wright uses, but it's close.

From Comiket 83, these appear to have been extras if you bought the special novel. I remember something like this, several years ago I was impressed with how much anime stationary they can make, you'd think students would like to show off their otaku'ness. These are the equivalent of the manila folder, only that they are plastic and part see-through. By the way, the above file folder seems to be actually one piece.

I admit I'm posting this in part to ask anyone who owns these, if you can scan them or at least take a great centered pic of them, specifically the Houki/Rinny one, these have not hit the world widened web yet (as far as my ruined internet access has shown me), as Houki's husbando I must have this pic, her pose, those big ones, and that green-bow-in-her-hair-that-she-is-using-because-was-has-yet-to-be-defiled-by-Ichika, in fact all the girls are great in this, but the Houki shot, I NEED HER NOW XD

Come on, spend that 6000Yen and you can get a bag emblazoned with the girls in their above poses!

New blog feature: Ani site updates! Sept 08 2011

You know how I've been slacking in the episode summary part of my blog, mainly due to the horrific connection problems I've had last month, but lately things seem to be okay with my wireless carrier, although they're still a little egg-headed. Anyways, you know how I am about fun stuff, and you'll notice my previous posts, although they are dominated by Mayo Chiki, I've done some fun stuff too like those Dog Day's updates from the main site, and I thought it would be a fun idea to compile noteworthy updates from these Anime official websites into one nice post here. That and... I figured I'd give my readers something to enjoy other than no updates at all XD

First and foremost, the best news I had all (week actually, since I saw this about a week or 2 ago), Dog Days Episode 5.5!

Someone tell me that's an OVA, and not just a Drama CD. This would totally make up for that lack of support-character screen time that happened at the end of the series. Perfect timing too, if you'll recall Episode 05 was when the Princess Millimeter kidnapping incident was resolved, so why not have some fun in the sun as a truce between the countries!

But look at Millimeter. She's pink already, did she have to pick a pink swimsuit? Why not red? No one has red on except Noir's red bows, how about some diversity (since Violet already took black XD)

On other news of previous season Anime, in case you missed it, don't forget about the Hidan no Ari OVA and the Infinite Stratos OVA, as well as that Astarotte's Toy OVA featuring My Queen in all her teenage glory :P Certainly stuff to look forward to in case you didn't mark your calendars.

This scene should be animated.... so that I can see some bounce OH YEAH XD

Ah, prospective waifu fans, she is now legal XD And that giant teddy bear totally explains her episode 04 brawl with the bear, yup it does...

Deep Striker is a deep look into a series, usually done in more words than it looks. Houki and Ichika's relationship is dived into this part 1 of the "I love Houki" series of editorials from The mangatron.

(Do NOTE that this is the longest editorial that I have ever typed, it is also the most informative, and it is very lengthy as it is preferred for one to read along as they watch the entire 12 episodes (though if you remember much of it, you won't have to re-watch). This should be read while one is at leisure, and not while one is in a foul mood, just got out of traffic after a long day at work, it should not be read while on the bus or while in the john, and while it is preferred, you don't have to watch the entire series again but it does help, and rest assured, despite being a Houki fan, this editorial pulls facts and descriptive explanations of what was seen and heard throughout the series' run. The mangatron tries his best to note what is personal opinion and what is Anime fact, as the mangatron has covered the entire 12 episodes and explained as much as he could in detail. Do try to keep an open mind, and remember, this is an offshoot of The mangatron's Final Approach, in that this Infinite Stratos editorial is not personal rambling, but rather an entire series review, episode by episode. Think of it as the mangatron reviewing each ep, but instead, reviewing the Houki and Ichi moments of each ep.)

Ichika and his harem, my explanation

 There was a question I asked myself before, and I'm sure a lot others have, and it seems to me the main topic I see 'round the parts of the web I visit, is Ichika's harem followed by "why him", "what do they see in him", and what not. So I thought I'd answer that question here in his own little thread explaining a little more into his paradise and why it should not be frowned upon at a simple glance. By the way, I tried to be as serious as possible, so it's really not a bad read. Honest!

Infinite Stratos 02: I love ponytails

Hmm yum, episode 02 of Infinite Stratos. I guess I could say nothing
else much here as far as story depth, aside from the evenly placed
know-hows of some story details, such as the explanation of Personal
I.S.'s.

One of the things I like though, is watching Houki's hair
flail about, truly a sight for a Ponytail lover such as I. There were
a couple of scenes where they animated her hair very well. Now I could
only wonder what she's like when in the I.S.

I'll say though, the CG in the battle was honestly well done, despite
the lack of attendee's in the stands. Granted, they aren't using EA
Sports/2K Sports impressive background crowd rendering in their sports
games, but I do wonder if such a thing is possible. The CG certainly
is decent enough, although I do prefer hand-drawn over CG, I'll say
this much: this CG is much better than 7 years ago *cough* BakuTen
*cough*. Other points of interest is the 3 girls (honestly I forgot
their names), Of course Houki and her hybrid twinponytail hair, a low
visibility bathing scene, girl-falls-in-love-after-winning-a-loss,
great censors (/s) and an inexperienced teacher. The last part is
probably just me...

Infinite Stratos 01: infinite girls

Disclaimer: don't always take the mangatron seriously. Sometimes he's
serious, and sometimes he's totally the opposite. Which one you think
he is being is entirely up to... you. Heh.

So, Infinite Stratos gets the first blog post of the year's Winter
Season of Anime. Of course, one of the main talk surrounding I.S. is
the "been there, done that", which leads me to say, in this day and
age, just how original can one be considering almost everything
imaginable has been done in anime so far? While I'm going to reserve
my discussion on that for another day, what I want to talk about is
the episode at hand: 01.

I actually liked it. There, I said it. Why do I like it? Well, they
never pushed the envelope that the so called "originality" imposers
placed on it. 1 man in a paradise of girls? Sure, it's been done. But
at least here they didn't have the girls throwing themselves at the
guy for the most of the episode. The guy would have been lusting after
every girl, but he didn't. What I was looking for was the excuse they
gave, or part of the excuse, of why he exists in such a paradise, and
they gave a good one.

Or maybe my bias towards my ponytail fetish is getting in the way. Not
a chance, although I am very much enjoying the lead female being a
ponytail. No, what I actually liked was that aside from the Hyakka
Ryoran-ish pre-op sequence, during the rest of the episode, we didn't
see what we did not need to see: the involvement of other characters
needlessly taking up airtime, when if you're not going to do
something, then you don't need to be there.

Personally, I am anticipating this more than Freezing. Cue laugh track.
